Government reaches people to deliver services, facilities: Deputy CM

Agartala, October 28, 2022: Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma on Friday said that the people do not have to come to the government to get various services and facilities as the government is delivering various services and facilities to the people through “Prati Ghore Sushasan” campaign in every house.

While unveiling the foundation stone of District Panchayat Resource Centre at Ichailalcherra Gram Panchayat of Kalacherra RD Block on Friday, Dev Varma said that the government has given priority to improve the socio-economic status of the last people of the society. The goal of the government is the development of everyone in the society.

He said that the present government’s aim is to make villages self-reliant. For this, the pace of development has to be accelerated. Training should be arranged for elected representatives of village level. Keeping that in mind, an initiative has been taken to build this District Panchayat Resource Centre in North Tripura district and financial sanction has also been given for this. It should be noted that the estimated cost for the construction of this two-storied District Panchayat Resource Centre is Rs 3 crore 83 lakh.

The Deputy Chief Minister also said that the people of this state have been away from development for a long time was deprived. The present government is working in a mission mode for the development of people. The current government is successfully implementing various programs like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, development of rural economy through self-help groups, delivery of drinking water to every house, purchase of paddy at subsidized price from farmers.

Special Secretary of Rural Development department Dr Sandeep N Rathore also spoke on the occasion. MLA Binoy Bhushan Das, MLA Malina Debnath, TIDC Chairman Tinku Roy, Kalacherra Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Tinku Sharma, Rural Development Department Chief Engineer Swapan Kumar Das, North Tripura district’s DM Nagesh Kumar B, SP Dr.Kiran Kumar, Kalacherra BDO Amit Chand and others were present. North Tripura Zilla Parishad President Bhavatosh Das presided over the foundation laying ceremony.
