Governor arrives Khowai for two day visit, chairs review meeting

Agartala, 19th February 2024 :  Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu commenced a comprehensive two-day visit to Khowai district, marked by a series of official engagements and inspections aimed at reviewing the developmental initiatives undertaken by the state and central governments.

The Governor’s visit kicked off with an official welcome at the office of the district magistrate, where he was accorded a guard of honor. Following the ceremonial reception, Governor Nallu inaugurated the newly constructed TRLM stall at the district magistrate’s office, symbolizing a commitment to tribal welfare.

Subsequently, a crucial review meeting transpired at the conference hall of the Khowai DM’s office, wherein Governor Nallu, accompanied by Khowai DM Chandni Chandran and district police superintendent Ramesh Yadav, engaged with high-ranking officials from various departments. Addressing journalists after the meeting, the Governor expressed the primary objective of assessing the progress of state and central developmental projects. He emphasized the need for effective decision-making to enhance the implementation of these initiatives.

After the productive review session, Governor Nallu proceeded to have lunch at the Government Dak Bungalow. The itinerary then led him to the Central Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Ramchandraghat, where he participated in a cultural program organized by the school authorities. The Governor’s engagement continued with a visit to another educational institution, the Central Eklavya School at Tulasikhara in Khowai sub-division, culminating in his participation in yet another culturally enriching program.

The Governor concluded his day by returning to the Government Dak Bungalow in Khowai, having demonstrated a hands-on commitment to understanding and advancing the development initiatives in the district. The two-day visit is anticipated to contribute significantly to informed decision-making and effective implementation of key projects in Khowai.
