Agartala, 19th February 2024 :   In a distressing incident, one Priya Sarkar, a housewife from Kanchanmala Bazar area under Golaghati Assembly, has gone missing, with her family alleging emotional abuse by her husband, Abhijit Das.

Priya, the daughter of Saraswati Sarkar, was married to Abhijit Das of Pandabpur area under Kamalasagar Assembly five years ago. The situation took a grim turn last Saturday, February 17, when Priya mysteriously disappeared from her husband’s house in Pandabpur.

Abhijit Das promptly informed Priya’s family about her disappearance on the same day. Despite concerted efforts to locate her, Priya remains untraceable. Concerned about her well-being, Priya’s family has taken the matter to the media, revealing disturbing details about the alleged emotional abuse she faced in her marital home.

According to the family, Priya had been subjected to mental torture by her husband since the early days of their marriage. They claim that her will and concerns were consistently ignored, leading to an unbearable emotional burden. Unable to endure the alleged mistreatment any longer, Priya decided to leave her husband’s house abruptly on Saturday.

In response to her disappearance, Priya’s family has filed a missing person report at Amtali police station. While the police have assured the family that they are making efforts to locate her, three days have passed with no sign of Priya.
