Agartala, 26th April 2026 : The Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu today attended a special gathering at Boxanagar High School in Sepahijala district to listen to the 133rd episode of Mann Ki Baat, the monthly radio address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The programme was observed with enthusiasm across the state, in line with nationwide participation. The event at Boxanagar High School gained prominence due to the presence of several distinguished personalities. The Governor attended as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Additional District Magistrate of Sepahijala, Upendra Jamatia, MLA of Boxanagar assembly constituency Tafajjal Hossain and Sepahijala District SP Bijoy Debbarma, who ensured administrative security and order during the event.
Governor Nallu listened attentively to the Prime Minister’s address and later interacted with attendees. The initiative aimed to bring the Prime Minister’s developmental messages closer to the grassroots level and encourage public engagement with national issues.
Following the programme, the Governor visited a local archaeological Buddhist temple in the Boxanagar area. He spent time at the site and held discussions with those involved in its upkeep. Highlighting the importance of preserving cultural heritage, the Governor stated that necessary steps would be taken in consultation with the Department of Archaeology to further develop and protect the historic site.
In his remarks after the visit, the Governor also emphasized the need to promote Tripura’s handicrafts on the global stage. Referring to their mention during the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast, he urged both the government and the public to work collectively towards expanding their international market reach.
