Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu visits historic Gedu Mia Mosque

Agartala, 18th November 2024:   Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu visited the historic Gedu Mia Mosque in Shibnagar here on Monday. Known as the oldest mosque in Tripura, it holds significant cultural and religious importance for the state’s Muslim community.

The Gedu Mia Mosque, a symbol of devotion and piety, is renowned for its exquisite Indo-Islamic architectural style. Constructed with white marble and adorned with intricate artwork, the mosque is a testament to the region’s rich heritage.

During his visit, Governor Reddy admired the craftsmanship and praised the efforts of the maintenance staff in preserving the mosque’s beauty over the years.

He was also briefed about the need for repairs to certain parts of the mosque, including its pond. The Governor assured that he would discuss the matter with relevant authorities and take appropriate measures to address the concerns.
