Agartala, 4th November 2025 : Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited Kailashahar, the district headquarters of Unakoti, on a one-day tour during which he participated in several programmes and inspected the India-Bangladesh international border.
The Governor arrived at the Kailashahar Circuit House around 10:30 a.m. and took a short rest before beginning his schedule. At noon, he visited the Chauddha Devata Temple in the border village of Khaorabil, where he offered prayers and later attended an interactive session with local farmers at the temple premises.
Secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma, Unakoti District Magistrate Dr. Tamal Majumder, Superintendent of Police Sudhambika R., and other administrative officials and public representatives accompanied him during the visit.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Reddy said his visit aimed to directly interact with residents of border areas to assess whether they were receiving the benefits of central and state government welfare schemes—such as toilet construction, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala gas connections, health insurance, and supply of seeds and fertilizers to farmers.
He assured that special attention would be given to ensure that all government benefits reach the people accurately and effectively.
After the discussion, the Governor inspected the international border at Debipur and later visited the BSF Border Out Post (BOP) at Latiapura, where he interacted with self-help group members and local farmers. The Governor concluded his tour with a visit to the border area of Sapharikandi village.
