Government announces 5 percent DA, created several vacant posts

Agartala: August 02. Ahead of the upcoming Tripura Legislative Assembly election, as a poll tactics, the ruling BJP Government has announced 5 percent DA for its employees and has created many posts under several departments.

Speaking in a press conference, ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said in the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, it was decided to pay five percent dearness allowance to Government employees in the state.

“This decision will be effective from July 1. The annual expenditure of the Government is Rs 523.80 crores. Those who are pensioners will also get 5 percent DR”, he said.He said that a large part of Government employees will be benefited from this. The minister further informed that it has also been decided that more than two hundred junior engineers will be appointed under the PWD.

“Despite many more vacancies, the Government has decided to recruit more than two hundred junior engineers depending on the financial situation. It has been decided to appoint 100 staff nurses in the Department of Health and Family Welfare. But they will be appointed on fixed pay basic. Along with these 22 homeopathic pharmacists, 25 Ayurvedic pharmacists, 39 laboratory technician’s blood will be appointed. This recruitment process will be completed soon”, he said.He also deiced that 16 vacancies were created under the ICA department.
