Agartala: September 26. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday said that in line with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the State Government is committed to improve the infrastructure for strengthening the education system and emphasized that the government have been working with the utmost priority for the overall development of Aspirational Districts in the state.
Dr Saha said this after he inaugurated a new building of Chailengta Government English Medium Higher Secondary School, Dhalai district.
“In order to make the students as ideal citizens in the state by educating them in quality education, the infrastructure of the schools needs to be developed first. The current government is working towards that goal. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the State Government is committed to improving the infrastructure for strengthening the education system and the government has been working with the utmost priority for the overall development of Aspirational Districts in the state”, he said.
He underscored that expanding access to quality education in the state remains a focal point for the government.
“The government is placing special emphasis on extending quality education even to remote villages. Simultaneously, we are prioritizing the construction of modern infrastructure in the field of education. In the state’s development stress has been given to health, agriculture, and related sectors, alongside education. Various measures have been taken to advance the education sector,” the Chief Minister explained.
Dr. Saha disclosed that 125 schools in the state are being integrated into the Vidyajyoti Scheme, with 100 already designated as Vidyajyoti schools. An additional 25 schools will be brought under the Vidyajyoti Vidyalaya scheme.
“The Chailengta English Medium 12th standard school has also been converted into a Vidyajyoti school. The Central Government’s introduction of the new National Education Policy aims to make the education system more inclusive. We are also implementing this policy in our state, which will modernize the education system and bolster students’ skill development in the days ahead,” he added.
MLA Sambhu Lal Chakma, Dhalai District Magistrate Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, Ambassa BAC Chairman Parimal Debbarma, and others were present.
