Govt committed to provide benefits to marginalized people: Sudhangshu Das

Agartala, December 18: Animal Resource Development minister Sudhangshu Das on Monday participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program developed at Dhan Singh Memorial Class XII School grounds in Kanchanbari, Unakoti district.

On the occasion, he said that the present central and state governments are working for public welfare and public relations. The government is responsible for providing government benefits to the last person. The country is progressing in various fields under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kumarghat BDO Dr Sudip Bhowmik also spoke on the occasion. Meanwhile, the developed Bharat Sankalp Yatra’s mobile IEC van circumnavigates the Kanchanbari area on Monday. Many men and women welcomed the van.

An oath was read collectively to make India a developed and strong nation by 2047. Ten service stalls of various government departments were opened on this occasion. Here awards are distributed for bank loan sanction, Jal Jeevan Mission for smooth implementation. The health department treats patients and distributes free medicines. Cattle and birds have been treated by the Department of Animal Resources Development. A number of women were provided with nutrition kits by the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education.

Today in Harishnagar Gram Panchayat and Champamura Gram Panchayat under Bishalgarh Block of Sepahijala District, the activities of the second phase of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and ‘Prati Ghore Sushasan’ were organized. Both the programs have been implemented in areas adjacent to respective Panchayat offices. At the field level administrative camps, the staff of various departments provide various government facilities to the people of the area. Documentaries are aired from IEC vans to educate the public about government projects. Kamalasagar Constituency MLA Antara Sarkar Deb, Sepahijla Zilla Parishad Chairperson Supriya Das Dutta, Block Collective Development Officer Anurag Sen and others were present. The presence of school students as well as common people in the program was noticeable.

When the Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign van reached Sipaihaur village panchayat in Khowai block on Monday afternoon, the villagers greeted the vehicle with hooting. Later an administrative camp was held there. In this camp rural people get free gas connection through Ujjwala Yojana scheme. Moreover, many locals apply to take other government benefits including submitting application form for Ayushman card, getting PRTC certificate. On this day, our Viksit Bharat 2024 calendar was distributed among the local villagers from the van of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Sipaihaur Gram Panchayat Chief Sudip Debbarma and others were present on the occasion. This Sankalp Yatra was also held in Annan district on this day. Various service camps were also held in Chawmanu ADC village in Dhalai district on the day of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
