Govt working to extend better health services to village level: CM

Agartala: October 23. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today said that his government is working by adopting specific plans to fulfill various basic needs of the people including health.

“The state government is working by adopting specific plans to fulfill various basic needs of the people including health. Initiatives have been taken to extend health services to village level in the state”, said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha while giving an ambulance to Shantipara-based Aikotan Yuba Sangstha today. The Chief Minister donated this ambulance from his constituency development fund.

In the event, the Chief Minister said that the residents of Shantipara have been demanding ambulance services for a long time. This ambulance will benefit the local people in providing emergency services. “Shantipara area being densely populated, having an ambulance service was very necessary”, he said.

The Chief Minister asked the club to be active so that the residents can get 24-hour service through this ambulance.In the event, the Chief Minister also said that the state government has decided to convert all the primary health centers of the state into health and wellness centers in order to provide better health services to the people of the state.

“Initiatives have been taken to launch 1 super specialty service in Agartala Government Medical College for the development of health services. The present state government is working for the development of all irrespective of caste and religion. Recently the social allowance has been increased to 2 thousand rupees. Not only that, the government has decided to provide 30,000 new social allowances”, he said.

He further informed that in the recent Cabinet meeting, it was decided to appoint 6067 Special Executives. AMC Corporators Ratna Datta, prominent doctor of the area Dr Tapan Mazumder also attended the event and others. After the ceremony, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha handed over the key of the ambulance to the officials of the club.
