Agartala, 14th July 2025: A devastating fire reduced a grocery shop to ashes late last night in the Pabiacherra market area. Firefighters rushed to the scene to contain the blaze, although the exact extent of damage is yet to be assessed.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred shortly after local businessman Satyapal had closed his shop and returned home. Passerby Nikhil Debnath noticed flames emerging from inside the establishment and raised an alarm, prompting other shopkeepers to arrive and notify fire services immediately.
Despite prompt intervention, the shop was completely gutted before help arrived. Fire personnel confirmed that a nearby shop also sustained damage in the blaze, but quick action from firefighters and locals helped prevent further spread.
