Agartala, 1st December 2024: A sense of shock and mystery enveloped the town of Kailashahar this morning after the lifeless body of a man was discovered hanging on the balcony of the old town hall.
The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Sudhangshu Shil, a resident of Baulapasha area in Kailashahar.The body was first spotted by locals, who promptly informed the police. Authorities reached the scene, recovered the body, and sent it for an autopsy. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched a detailed investigation into the matter.
According to Sudhangshu Shil’s family, he is survived by his wife and young son. They believe he died by suicide, though the reasons behind this extreme step remain unclear. The tragic news left his family in anguish, with both his wife and son breaking down at the scene.“We are investigating all angles, including the circumstances leading up to his death. The autopsy report will provide more clarity,” said a police official involved in the case.The discovery of the hanging body at such a prominent public location has left the community shaken, with many residents demanding answers.
