Agartala, 10th October 2023 : In a shocking turn of events, a hanging body of Jibandhan Shil (45), a resident of Birchandra Nagar in Shantir Bazar subdivision, was recovered in a rubber plantation this morning. The grim discovery was made by local residents while they were tending to rubber trees in a nearby garden.
Upon receiving the distressing news, the Tripura Police personnel from Manpathar outpost swiftly arrived at the scene. They carefully retrieved the body and promptly arranged for it to be transferred to Shantir Bazar District Hospital for a comprehensive post-mortem examination.
According to sources close to the victim’s family, Jibandhan left his residence at 4 pm on Monday and failed to return home that evening. The anxious wait extended into the early hours of Tuesday, when the local community stumbled upon the distressing scene in the rubber garden.
The bereaved family, grappling with the shock of this sudden loss, is awaiting the results of the post-mortem examination. Only after the completion of these procedures will the remains be tenderly handed over to them.
