Agartala, 9th February 2026 : Bishalgarh witnessed a tense situation on the bypass road near the North Rautkhola area after two vehicles collided head-on, causing widespread panic among locals. Several passengers were injured in the accident, with reports indicating that the condition of a few is critical.
The impact of the collision was severe, leaving both vehicles badly mangled. Upon receiving information about the incident, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and, with the help of local residents, rescued the injured passengers. They were immediately shifted to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
The accident led to temporary disruption of traffic in the area, causing inconvenience to commuters. Police officials stated that the exact cause of the accident is under investigation. The injured are currently undergoing treatment, and arrangements are being made for advanced medical care if required.
