Agartala, 28th June 2025 : A health and dental check-up camp was organized at the Agartala Press Club today benefiting as many as 65 journalists and their family members.
Dentists Dr. Ranbir Roy, Dr. Deep Datta and Dr. Santanu Dasgupta conducted dental check-ups, while general health consultations were provided by Dr. Kanak Chowdhury. The initiative aimed to promote better health and well-being among media professionals who often face demanding work schedules.
Agartala Press Club Vice-President Chitra Roy, Joint Secretary Abhishek Dey, Treasurer Ranjan Roy and Executive Members Kamal Chowdhury, Abhishek Debbarma and Mihir Lal Sarkar welcomed the attending doctors with traditional uttariyas as a mark of respect.
Speaking at the event, Vice President Chitra Roy emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, “Today’s health and dental camp was specially organized for the well-being of our members and their families. Regular health check-ups are vital, and the Press Club remains committed to organizing such beneficial programs in the future as well.”
In addition to medical consultations, free blood tests were also conducted during the camp. Agartala Press Club President Pranab Sarkar visited the camp, interacted with the doctors and appreciated their service, while also engaging with participating journalists.
The camp was jointly coordinated under the initiative of the Agartala Press Club’s managing committee.
