Agartala, 27th September 2024:   A resident Kabil Mia of Lunthaicherra in Bishramganj has accused his in-laws and their close relatives of a series of malicious acts aimed at evicting him from his home. The allegations include physical assault framing him in a false case and property theft.

Kabil Mia, described as a “simple and helpless youth,” built his house next to his in-laws’ residence with his hard-earned money. However, he claims that his father-in-law Harun Mia, mother-in-law Mairam Bibi, and relatives Rahim Mia and Taru Bibi have been conspiring to force him out. “They have beaten me multiple times to make me leave my house and land,” Kabil Mia stated.

The situation escalated on the night of September 23, when cattle were stolen from Rahim Mia’s house. Despite Kabil Mia’s absence at the time, a false case of cattle theft was filed against him at the Swatganj police station. “Rahim Mia retrieved the cattle from Sonamura Police Station the next day, yet no investigation was conducted on how he got them back,” Kabil Mia alleged.

Kabil Mia further disclosed that Rahim Mia, who works at the primary health center in Swatganj, has a history of dubious activities. “He steals gold chains, earrings, pendants, and other valuables from dead bodies and shows them to neighbors,” Kabil Mia claimed. He also accused Rahim of withholding death certificates from families unless they pay him.

Despite recovering the cattle, Rahim Mia allegedly continues to harass Kabil Mia for money. “Why should I give money? I did nothing wrong. I didn’t steal the cow,” Kabil Mia questioned. He believes his in-laws are trying to take everything from him by framing him in false cases.

In a heartfelt plea, Kabil Mia appealed to the administration for a fair investigation. “With folded hands, I request the authorities to investigate my in-laws and their relatives, Rahim Mia and Taru Bibi,” he said.
