Agartala, February 07, 2023: Campaigning for BJP nominated candidate from 22-Sonamura assembly constituency, Assam Chief Minister and NEDA convenor Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday appealed the electorates to compare the report card of development that has taken place in last five years under BJP-led government’s regime and previous 25 years of Leftist regime.
Addressing the gathering, Sarma said “The best thing of BJP is that our karyakartas are strong enough to do whatever task is assigned to them. And that is why, BJP’s flag is held high in all the states across the country.”
“The election process had begun in Tripura. Congress and CPIM had come under one platform. Where are these two political parties? Where is Congress in Northeast? This has become also become zero”, he added.
Claiming that the Prime Minister is a hero, Sarma said “In 2018, BJP-led government has been formed in Tripura. CPIM-led Left Front ruled the state for 25 years and five years by the Congress government. During the Leftist regime in Tripura, does free rice was available through public distribution system?”
“If people doesn’t participate in the processions, then they were deprived of social allowances. But in BJP’s regime, social allowances of Rs 700 has been increased to Rs 1300 and then to Rs 2000. If Rs 2000 is the outcome after five years, then what would be the figure after 25 years, it will become Rs 32,000. Our government has made triple promotion of the social allowances. This has been possible for Modi government and Tripura government is running under his leadership”, he added.
Citing the statistics of progress of people in Sonamura assembly constituency, Assam CM said “In Leftist regime, 107 people reaped the benefits of PMAY as they were active supporters of CPIM. In BJP regime, 1700 beneficiaries enjoyed the benefits of PMAY. During Leftist regime, farmers did not enjoy PM-Kisan. After BJP formed government, instalment of Rs 2000 for three times per year is enjoyed by 1400 farmers’ families. As many as 16,593 families received Ayushman Bharat card during BJP’s regime. Around 2000 families received free tape water connection under Jal Jeevan Mission.”
He urged the people to compare the developments that has taken place in last five years under the regime of BJP-led government and 25 years tenure of CPIM-led Left Front government. The present BJP government has been working for progress in all sectors. “Don’t make CPIM to ruin the stream of development started by BJP-led government under the leadership of PM Modi. It’s a request to make BJP candidate Debabrata Deb win the election and witness work in double speed”, he added.
Union minister of state and BJP candidate from Dhanpur assembly constituency Pratima Bhoumik, candidate Debabrata Deb, Sepahijala district prabhari Md Jashim Uddin and others were present.
