Hotel Polo Tower Celebrates  Grand Cake mixing ceremony

Agartala, November 10:   Hotel Polo Tower  Agartala  celebrates the grand cake mixing ceremony in a style today at its Regency Lawn where In house guests, friends from Media houses, bloggers and influencers from the city were present.

The practice of cake mixing begins quite early, mostly in the first week of November. It is an age-old tradition where kilograms of dry fruits, nuts, grains and spices are combined together to form a mixture. This mixture is then soaked in alcoholic blends for some days to let them soak all the flavours and aroma. Lastly, it is divided into parts which go into the cake batter, from which further Christmas Fruit/Plum Cakes are baked.

According to Gunjan Kumar, Cluster General Manager under whos supervision at Hotel Polo Towers, Agartala had a gala cake mixing with a lovely ambience said ” It is a lovely ceremony where you do not just make preparations for the upcoming festival, but also shared the joy of welcoming the festive spirit that is so synonymous with Christmas.

Food and Beverage Manager Mr. Sujit Chakraborty & Bakery Chef Ankit Sharma,  further added that this ceremony together where traditional liquors were mixed with sultanas, raisins, cashews, almonds, plums and peaches and the soaked nuts were stored in large containers to be used in Christmas baking.”
