Hrishyamukh police arrests 3 persons and seized 8 cows

Agartala, June 23: The police of Hrishyamukh police outpost under Belonia police station arrested three people and seized eight cows loaded on a Bolero Maxx Pickup vehicle bearing registration number TR07B-1640 while checking suspected vehicles last night.

The arrested persons are Subhash Das (27), Samir Debnath (46) and Bimal Chandra Sen (68), all of whom reside in Madhavnagar area under Manubazar police station in Sabroom subdivision.

Later, the police arrested one more person named Biswajit Muhuri (38) from Gajaria area under Belonia police station along with two cows. At present, the cows and carts are in Hrishyamukh BSF camp.

On the other hand, the Belonia police station accepted the case against these four accused cow smugglers. They were produced in the Belonia sub-divisional court today.
