Husband held for allegedly strangling wife; Case registered in Bishramganj PS

Agartala, 3^rd September :  Rahul Debbarma was arrested on charges of murdering his wife by strangulation and was produced before the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Court this afternoon by Bishramganj police.

The case was filed by the victim’s elder brother, Amrit Debbarma, under Bishramganj Police Station Case No. 19, registered under Sections 85/108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Speaking to the media, Officer-in-Charge Ajit Debbarma confirmed that a detailed investigation is currently underway.
