Agartala, August 23, 2022: The Information and Cultural Affairs minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday attended a preparatory meeting of ‘Mayer Gomon and Sharad Samman 2022’ at the premises of Muktadhara auditorium here in Agartala city.
Chowdhury said “Active discussions were held with officials of Traffic Police, District Administration, Sub-Division and other departments to organize the upcoming Shardotsav Police in order to organize Mayer Gomon smoothly. Various topics are being discussed in detail to make up the composition.”
“The discussions emphasize the adoption of all kinds of measures that exert pressure on maintaining environmental balance. A decision has also been taken to check whether the puja entrepreneurs are following all the rules and regulations in the construction of pandals. The meeting also emphasized on maintaining polythene free environment”, he added.
Minister further added “Disaster management will also look into various issues. Besides, various proposals were discussed in the meeting on the occasion of Sharadsamman 2022. In the meeting, the representatives of various clubs made valuable statements and suggestions from their past experiences to make the upcoming Sharadotsav a success with everyone’s joint efforts.”
AMC Deputy Mayor Monika Das Datta, TTDC chairman Santosh Saha, ICA Secretary Pradip Kumar Chakravorty, West Tripura district DM Debapriya Bardhan, Sadar SDM Asim Saha, Chief Engineer of RD department Swapan Kumar Das, President of Agartala Club Forum Pranab Sarkar, Journalist Sanjeev Dev, Eminent cultural personality Subrata Chakraborty, and ICA Director Ratan Biswas and others were present in the meeting.
