IIE to hold workshop and IE(I) to unveil M Visvesvaraya statue at NIT, Agartala on Sept 14

Agartala, September 13, 2022: Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship is organizing a one-day long “Skill and Entrepreneurship Workshop” for capacity building and skilling of technical persons and youths in the state to create an Entrepreneurship and Start-Up Ecosystem.

The IIE is organizing a workshop for about 500 technical youths at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala on Wednesday from 12 noon onwards on the momentous occasion of “Engineers’ Day”.

As part of this programme, the Institution of Engineers (India), Tripura State Centre along with Public Works Department (R&B and Buildings) of the government of Tripura is organizing the event of 55th Engineers’ Day programme and unveiling ceremony of the statue of Bharat Ratna sir M. Visvesvaraya at the premises of NIT, Agartala on Wednesday at 3.30 PM.

Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha will grace the occasion as chief guest, Chief Secretary JK Sinha as guest of honour, PWD department secretary Gitte Kirankumar Dinkarrao as special guest, Prof Suman Chakraborty of Mechanical Engineering Department & Dean of the Research and Development of IIT Kharagpur will deliver lecture on “Smart Engineering for a Better World” as keynote speaker, and Dr Suman Deb, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department of the NIT, Agartala as special speaker while Chairman of the IE(I) Er C Debnath will preside over the programme.
