Agartala, 31st January 2026:    To preserve the city’s beauty and maintain discipline, the municipal task force carried out a drive today to remove unauthorized flexes and festoons. The operation, organized by the Central Zone, was conducted in the Ker Chowmuhani area. During the campaign, illegal posters, banners, and festoons hanging on both sides of the road and on electric poles were dismantled.

Municipal sources stated that these unauthorized displays were not only spoiling the city’s aesthetics but also obstructing traffic movement. The clean-up initiative was undertaken to ensure compliance with regulations and keep the city orderly.

Authorities further announced that similar drives will continue across different parts of the city in the coming days. They warned that strict action will be taken against individuals or organizations found installing flexes or banners without permission.
