Agartala, 1st January 2026 : The ISKCON Hare Krishna temple at Ashram Chowmuhani continues its humanitarian tradition by organizing the Food for Life (Annadan) program across various institutions and public spaces in Agartala.
As part of the initiative on New Year’s Day, the temple served delicious Krishna Prasadam to all residents of Jawaharlal Nehru Girls’ Home in the capital. The presence of devotees brought immense joy to the children, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere within the premises.
In addition to the meal distribution, ISKCON volunteers imparted teachings from the Bhagavad Gita, sharing its principles of wisdom and devotion. Marking the occasion of Gita Jayanti, copies of the sacred scripture were also donated to the residents.
This compassionate outreach by ISKCON Agartala has been warmly received by the public, spreading a wave of divine happiness and reinforcing the temple’s commitment to service and spirituality.
