Agartala, 3rd July 2024: The inaugural anniversary celebrations of the Jampuijala Press Club took place on Wednesday at the community hall marked by a ceremonious opening. Secretary Shibacharan Debbarma commenced the proceedings with a welcome address.
The event was graced by Minority Development and Cooperatives minister Shukla Charan Noatia as the chief guest. Chairman of Jampuijala Block Development Committee and former MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma, Jampuijala Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sumit Kumar Pandey and President of Jampuijala Press Club Maulana Amir Hussain were among the notable special guests.
During his address, Minister Noatia praised the pivotal role of media in democracy highlighting the Press Club’s achievements under President Maulana Amir Hossain and Secretary Shibacharan Debbarma. He presented the official registration certificate to the club’s leadership, emphasizing the media’s role in governance transparency and citizen engagement.
Acknowledging the Bishalgarh Press Club’s support, Minister Noatia pledged continued cooperation for the Jampuijala Press Club’s holistic development. SDM Pandey was honored with a recognition certificate by the Press Club officials signaling progress towards securing a permanent office space.
The event concluded with President Maulana Amir Hussain extending gratitude to all attendees, while Press Club Adviser Lakshman Debbarma urged ongoing support for the club’s future growth.
The anniversary celebration resonated with enthusiasm among journalists and attendees, underscoring a promising trajectory for the Jampuijala Press Club.
