Janajati development in TTAADC possible only through BJP: CM

Agartala, 5th March 2026 :  Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that the development of the janajati people in the TTAADC area is not possible without the BJP.

He further said that, therefore the victory of Bharatiya Janata Party candidates in the next TTAADC elections must be ensured. “We want to create a new Tripura with all the janajatis,” Dr. Saha said.

Dr. Saha said this while attending a mass gathering organized by the Bagma Mandal in Atharobhola, Gomati district today.During the meeting, Dr. Saha welcomed 192 voters from 53 families who joined the BJP.

While addressing the public meeting, Dr. Saha said, “I have come to this Bagma assembly constituency several times before. In fact, I have visited this constituency more than any other. I returned from Delhi the day before yesterday and went to Khumulwng yesterday. A huge rally was held there with our tribal brothers and sisters. Khumulwng has already started feeling the impact of that rally. They have understood that the tribal brothers and sisters have placed their trust in the BJP. Until the BJP can form a government in ADC, the development of the people is not possible. The BJP stands for development. There is nothing for this party except development. Every worker of the BJP works from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight, whereas other parties do not have such a system. They only think about themselves, their own development. For them, it is first themselves, then the rest. But our Bharatiya Janata Party’s policy is: first the state, then the country, then the party, then themselves.”

The Chief Minister said that the guardian of the Bharatiya Janata Party is Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has said, Na Khaunga, Na Khane Dunga.

“We also have to follow the path inspired by the Prime Minister in our double-engine government. Every penny should be spent on the development of the people. The BJP is working in that direction,” said Dr. Saha.

The Chief Minister also said that before 2018, many people claimed that the communists could never be removed from Tripura. “But together with all of you, and under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party government was established in Tripura, removing 35 years of misrule. We have been running the government for the last eight years. No one can point to any place where corruption has taken refuge. That is why I am saying that Thansa Thansa Thansa is being done here. The work that I do, the next day they are also doing the same work. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is saying Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. That is, the development of people from all sections. We are talking about the development of everyone. Therefore, we are the real Thansa,” he said.

The Chief Minister also said in his speech that during that time, the janajatis of the state were misled and pushed towards extremism.

“These communists created all this during their rule because they wanted to maintain power through terrorism. They wanted to run the government through terrorism,” he said.

The meeting was attended by Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, former minister and MLA Rampada Jamatia, Gomati District President Sabita Nath, Mandal President Amar Jamatia, and others.
