Jaswant Singh takes oath as new CJ of Tripura HC

Agartala: February 15. Tripura High Court Chief Justice Jaswant Singh took oath today at the Durbar Hall of New Raj Bhavan. He was administered the oath by Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya.

Before being elevated to the post of Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, Justice Singh served as a judge in the High Courts of Odisha, Punjab and Haryana. Chief Minister Prof (Dr) Manik Saha, Tripura High Court Justice T Amarnath Gaur, Justice Arindam Lodh, Advocate General Siddharth Shankar Dey, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, DGP Amitabh Ranjan and senior officials of the administration were among others present at today’s swearing-in ceremony. Moreover, the wife of the new Chief Justice was present at the swearing-in ceremony.
