Agartala, September 09, 2022: Aspirants appeared for Group C and D examinations conducted by the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) in August last year gathered in front of its office here and agitated against the board for not declaring results even after one year has passed off.

While expressing their dissatisfaction over the role of JRBT officials, one of the agitating aspirants said “One year has passed off, JRBT conducted the examinations of Group-C and Group-D. But the results are yet to declare. The High Court of Tripura issued stay order to publish the results, but JRBT is hesitant to publish it. We assembled here to demand for announcing the results.”

“So far, 1 lakh 21 thousand youths from all over the state appeared for Group C and D posts. The candidates has deposited Rs 300 each while submitting applications. The total deposited figure is Rs 3.62 crore. The 10 percent interest of this amount is Rs 36.20 lakh in one year”, he added.

The agitating youth also said “By holding agitation here, we have no intention to invite any clash with police. They are never our enemy, rather they are friends of us. But situation is so pathetic that, we appeal police officials to shoot us on our forehead, instead of shooting us on our legs and holding lathi-charge. We are ashamed as our parents, relatives and friends mock us saying that we will never get a government job. We appeared for these two examinations by begging from our parents. We have no intention to hold agitation against any official.”
