Agartala, 28th December 2024: A group of job seekers staged a protest in front of Umakanta Academy school demanding the immediate recruitment of fire workers and drivers. The protesters later submitted a deputation to the Director of Fire Service, urging the publication of results and completion of the recruitment process.
The protesters alleged that a notice was issued in 2022 for the recruitment of 329 posts in the Tripura Fire Service. “The physical and written tests were conducted shortly after the notice, but it has been almost two years, and the results are yet to be released,” said one of the job seekers.
Expressing their frustration, they claimed that there has been no recruitment for the last two years. The protesters emphasized the urgency of their demands as they submitted the deputation to the Agartala Fire Service office. “We demand that the results be published as soon as possible and the recruitment process be completed,” stated one of the representatives.
The job seekers also appealed to Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha to take the matter seriously. “We request the Chief Minister to look into this issue and ensure that the recruitment process is expedited,” said another job seeker.
The protesters warned that they would escalate their movement if their demands were not met. “If our demands are not addressed, we will go on a bigger movement,” asserted one of the protest leaders.
