Jolaibari BJP Mandal president launches road safety initiative

Agartala, 8th April 2025:   In a bid to curb the rising number of road accidents in the state, 38-Jolaibari BJP Mandal President Sujit Dutta has led a unique awareness campaign. The initiative aims to educate citizens about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and wearing helmets while riding bikes.

This morning, a special drive was conducted on the Sabroom-Agartala National Road in the Jolaibari area. The campaign saw active participation from BJP workers and security personnel from Baikhora Police Station. During the drive, bikers who complied with traffic rules by wearing double helmets were greeted with roses as a token of appreciation. For those riding without helmets, the mandal announced plans to provide helmets to ensure their safety.

Baikhora Police Station Officer-in-Charge Bishnu Chandra Das emphasized the importance of following traffic regulations. “Wearing helmets can save lives. This initiative is a step towards making our roads safer for everyone,” he told the media.

The campaign has garnered widespread praise from the community. Residents have lauded Sujit Dutta’s efforts to promote road safety and prevent accidents. “This is a commendable step to raise awareness and protect lives,” said a local resident.
