Journalist Manas Bhattacharjee passes away

Agartala, 2nd May 2024:    The sudden and untimely demise of Manas Bhattacharjee, a revered journalist hailing from Khowai, has plunged the community into profound grief. At the age of 43, Manas Bhattacharya breathed his last on Tuesday night, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and the wider journalistic fraternity.

Manas Bhattacharjee survived by his mother, wife, and two children, was known for his unwavering dedication to his craft and his invaluable contributions to the field of journalism. His journey in journalism, marked by stints at esteemed platforms including DD News and Syandan newspaper, showcased his passion for storytelling and commitment to truth. Initially seeking medical attention for unbearable stomach pain at Khoai District Hospital, Manas was later advised to continue treatment at GB Hospital in Agartala. However, a temporary alleviation of his symptoms led him to return home on Tuesday.

Tragically, the respite was short-lived as complications arose once again, manifesting in severe breathing difficulties due to gas accumulation in his stomach. Despite summoning the assistance of fellow journalists and promptly seeking medical aid, Manas succumbed to the relentless grip of fate, leaving behind a legacy that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
