The Yuva Samaj Club, located in Joynagar, has kicked off its three-day Basanta Utsav, a vibrant celebration of spring. The festival was officially inaugurated on Saturday by Mayor Dipak Majumder.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Councilor Tushar Kanti Bhattacharya and Councilor Pradeep Chanda. Mayor Majumder expressed his admiration for the well-organized event, which showcases a variety of stalls featuring sarees, books, and more.
In addition to the commercial stalls, women from the Self Help Group (SHG) have also set up a stall, contributing to the festive atmosphere. Mayor Majumder took the time to visit these stalls, interacting with the entrepreneurs who are participating in the festival.
The Basanta Utsav is set to continue until March 25, offering locals and visitors alike the opportunity to immerse themselves in the joyous spirit of spring.
