Kendriya Vidyalaya approved for Dharmanagar; Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen thanks Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

Agartala, 25th July 2025:   The Centre has taken steps to establish a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Dharmanagar, North Tripura following a request by Tripura Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen.

In a letter earlier, Sen urged Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to consider the long-pending demand of the people of Dharmanagar for quality education under the Kendriya Vidyalaya system.

Responding to the appeal, the Union Minister informed that the matter has been forwarded to the concerned department for necessary action.

Expressing gratitude, Speaker Sen said, “This marks a major milestone for Dharmanagar. It fulfills a longstanding demand and opens the door to national-level education for our children.” He also praised the Centre’s commitment to educational development and regional equity.

The upcoming school is expected to benefit thousands of students in North Tripura.
