Agartala, 23rd April 2024:   In a landmark verdict, the court has ruled in favor of Sujat Ali, the rightful owner of a plot of land in Ward No. 4 of Mohanbhog Gram Panchayat under Sonamura subdivision, ending an eight-year-long legal dispute. The land, measuring 1 Kani 3 Ganda Tila, had been illegally occupied by a local resident named Manu Mia.

Sujat Ali had initiated legal proceedings eight years ago, armed with all necessary documents proving his ownership. After a protracted legal battle, the court has now ruled that the encroached land rightfully belongs to Sujat Ali, based on the evidence presented.

Following the court’s judgment, pillars were erected on the four boundaries of the land as a clear demarcation of ownership. This was done under the watchful eyes of government officials and with the owner, Sujat Ali, present.

In a symbolic act of reclaiming his property, Sujat Ali beat a drum on the land, issuing a stern warning to all present. He declared that anyone wishing to step onto the land in the future would need to seek his permission.

Sujat Ali expressed his gratitude towards the judicial system on Tuesday, thanking them for ensuring a fair trial and helping him reclaim his occupied land. This case serves as a testament to the effectiveness of our legal system in upholding justice and property rights.
