Agartala, 1st January 2025:    A significant influx of tourists was observed at Neermahal on the first day of the English New Year. The long queues in front of the ticket counter at Rajghat leading to Neermahal showcased the locals’ desire to celebrate the New Year with joy and enthusiasm. Authorities from Rudrasagar Udbastu Fisherman Samabay Samiti expressed their happiness over the growing turnout of visitors.

The large crowd on the first day suggests that the Neermahal tour is becoming increasingly popular among tourists. This follows the recent restart of the Neermahal light and sound show in December last year, after a prolonged hiatus. The revival of the show, initially focused on the promo fest, is believed to be a significant factor contributing to the surge of tourists on the banks of Rudrasagar.

Rudrasagar Udbastu Fisherman Samabay Samiti’s President Pabitra Das and Secretary Parameshwar Das commented that the number of tourists is expected to rise in the coming days. They also stated that Neermahal is once again capturing the hearts of travel enthusiasts.
