Left Front launches door-to-door campaign in AMC Ward 17

Date:

Agartala, 7th November 2026 : The Left Front has launched a door-to-door campaign in Ward No. 17 of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) in support of its candidate, Baishali Majumdar, ahead of the municipal elections scheduled for November 27.

The campaign, which began on Saturday, aims to reach voters directly and highlight issues concerning democracy and the deteriorating condition of civic amenities in the ward.

Speaking during the campaign, Left Front leaders alleged that democratic rights had come under threat since the announcement of the elections. They also raised concerns over the condition of roads, irregularities in electricity and water supply, and the growing problem of traffic congestion.

The leaders said the door-to-door outreach programme was being organised to draw public attention to these issues and seek support for Baishali Majumdar. They further claimed that the campaign had already received an encouraging response from residents, with many expressing support and raising their concerns over civic problems.

The Left Front appealed to voters in Ward No. 17 to support its candidate in the November 27 election.
