By TC News Desk

Agartala: September 07. The Left Front today announced the name of former minister and MLA Bhanu Lal Saha as their candidate for the upcoming bye-election in the sole seat of Rajya Sabha.

While addressing a press conference this evening, Left Front Convener Narayan Kar said it is very unfortunate that again election for the Rajya Sabha seat will be held as the election is going to be held within a span of five months.

“On April last, the election of Rajya Sabha held whereas within five months the seat again fell vacant and election will be held on 22 September. It is unfortunate that again election for Rajya Sabha will be held. We will fight to defeat BJP. We won’t leave BJP, we will fight. Our appeal is to all the Tripura legislative assembly members to vote for the Left Front to defeat the BJP. Former Minister and MLA Bhanu Lal Saha is our candidate. Within 2 days he will submit his nomination papers”, Kar said.

Appealing to all the political parties having MLAs in the Legislative Assembly Kar said, “To defeat BJP all the parties who have MLAs in Assembly should come forward to give a tight lesson to BJP. BJP’s alliance IPFT is there. Having an alliance this party is not receiving enough respect from BJP. They should come. Even BJP also has some MLAs who are not receiving respect and are also not happy and the sole Congress MLA is also there. I feel they should come together against the such fascist party and to defeat the BJP in a bid to save the people of the state”.
