Locals block road for water and road at Jampuijala

BY TC News Desk

Agartala, April 23: On the demand of separate statehood, development in ADC areas had become like an air-balloon. TIPRA Motha who is in-charge of ADC administration is not coming forward to solve the problems. Consequently, the people are taking to the streets after moving away from emotional politics. On Sunday, the locals blocked Choygharia road of Jampuijala RD block demanding drinking water and road reform.

For a long time, there has been a water problem in Waiyaghati Kami area of Jampuijala’s Choygharia Gram Panchayat. Besides, the only road in the area has been in a miserable condition for a long time. Even after informing the ADC administration several times, the authorities are not taking any initiative.

As people were deprived, they were forced to block the road. Their demand is to provide drinking water in the area. In addition, the demand for road reform has also been raised on this day.

After years they have to suffer after this problem. Votes are actually different ways to forget their emotions in politics. But returning to power with the votes of the people does not solve the problem. So they want to go to the streets to demand and looking for a development account. Those who are poking from behind are also not able to avoid responsibility. So they have raised demands to solve the problem of roads and drinking water. They said that if these problems are not resolved immediately, they will embark on a larger movement.

Meanwhile, the police administration rushed to the spot and talked with the road blockaders. The police assured the protesters to lift the blockade.
