Long-standing demand fulfilled: MLA visits Baisyabari for new road project

Agartala, 15th January 2026:   A long-pending demand of the people of Baisyabari in Tainani ADC area under Santirbazar assembly constituency is finally set to be fulfilled, as a new road construction project is about to begin.

MLA Pramod Reang today led an inspection team to the site, bringing hope and joy to residents who have awaited this development since the Left Front era.

The inspection team included Debasish Bhowmik, member of the 36-Santirbazar Development Committee, Tapas Morak, Superintending Engineer of the PWD, Prabir Baran Das, SDO of Santirbazar PWD, along with other departmental officials and local representatives.

As part of the project, a hanging bridge connecting two villages will be converted into a durable RCC bridge, enabling vehicular movement. MLA Reang stated that the visit was conducted to expedite the commencement of road and bridge construction work.

With this initiative, residents expressed happiness that a long-standing assurance is finally turning into reality, promising improved connectivity and development for the region.
