Agartala, 9th December 2025: A pall of grief has descended over Ramnagar in Agartala after the tragic death of MBBS student Saptarshi Das and three other medical students in a horrific road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district. The accident occurred on the Delhi–Lucknow National Highway, claiming the lives of all four students.
Today Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Choudhury, along with other senior leaders of the CPI(M), visited the residence of the deceased student, Saptarshi Das, to offer condolences to the bereaved family.
During his visit, Jitendra Choudhury spoke with family members, offering words of comfort and expressing profound sorrow over the untimely loss. He stated that such tragic incidents are impossible to accept and assured the grieving family that they are not alone during this difficult time.
He prayed for peace to the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathy to the family, hoping they find the strength to overcome the immense sorrow and rebuild their lives.
CPI(M) leaders accompanying him also pledged full support to the family in the days ahead.
