Agartala, 28th October 2024:   Madhupur police station staff recovered a stolen Pulsar 150cc bike from the dense forest in Aurobinba Nagar on Monday morning. The recovered bike bearing registration number TR01AQ-9311 is now in the custody of the Madhupur police station.

Acting on a tip-off received, the Madhupur police swiftly moved to the Aurobinda Nagar area, where they found the bike hidden in the forest. It is believed that a gang of thieves had stolen the bike from West Tripura and concealed it in the forest, intending to smuggle it to Bangladesh.

“The moment we received the information, we immediately dispatched our team to the location and successfully recovered the bike,” said the Officer-in-Charge of Madhupur police station Debajit Chatterjee. The OC has also informed all police stations across the state about the recovery to aid in further investigations.

Addressing the media at the police station on Monday afternoon, OC Chatterjee provided detailed insights into the recovery operation and emphasized the ongoing efforts to combat bike theft in the region. “We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community and will continue to take strict actions against such criminal activities,” he added.
