Agartala, 26th May 2026: North District Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai has ordered a major reshuffle involving 17 police personnel across various stations to strengthen transparency and law and order. The directive, issued on May 23 from the SP’s office in Dharmanagar, includes the transfer of one Inspector, three Sub-Inspectors, three Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and ten constables, both male and female.
Inspector Remulus Sangma has been moved from Kadamtala Police Station to Panisagar, while SI Manoj Kumar Pal has been transferred from Dharmanagar to Kadamtala. SI Rajesh Das has been shifted from Kanchanpur to Dharmanagar, and SI Animesh Ghosh has been reassigned from Panisagar to Kanchanpur. ASI Nikunj Debnath has been transferred from Dharmanagar to Bhangmun, and ASI Kalyan Chandra Nath has been moved from Bhangmun to Dharmanagar.
Other officers in the reshuffle list include ASI Niranjan Malakar and constables Dipankar Chakma, Md. Abdul Kadir, Bir Kumar Chakma, Md. Zakir Uddin, Md. Hussen Ali, and Nibas Das. Female constables have also been reassigned, with Sebika Chakma transferred from Kanchanpur to Panisagar, while Chinmoyee Sarkar, Sabita Dey, and Lovely Shil have been posted to new stations.
Police administration sources confirmed that the reshuffle aims to enhance efficiency, maintain administrative transparency, and strengthen law and order across the district. SP Avinash Rai has directed all unit in-charges to immediately release the transferred personnel and ensure smooth transition to their new assignments.
