Major reshuffle of IFS and TFS officers

Agartala, 9th July 2025:  The Government of Tripura has ordered the transfer and posting of 38 Indian Forest Service (IFS) and Tripura Forest Service (TFS) officers with immediate effect.

According to an official notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department on July 07 last, R. K. Samal, PCCF & HoFF, has been relieved from the charges of Chief Wildlife Warden, CEO (CAMPA), and Member Secretary of the Tripura Biodiversity Board.

P. L. Agarwal, IFS, will now additionally oversee the implementation of the IGDC-CREFLAT project and has been assigned as CEO, CAMPA. Chaitanya Murti, IFS, assumes additional responsibilities, including Chief Wildlife Warden and Member Secretary, Tripura Biodiversity Board.

Other major changes include Dr. Honna Reddy being given charge as MD, TRPC and Addl. CEO, ELEMENT Project; Arun Kumar posted as CF (Wildlife & Ecotourism); and Sanjib Das assigned new responsibilities in the ELEMENT Project.

Additionally, a number of DFOs and SDFOs across districts such as West Tripura, Sepahijala, Khowai, Dhalai, and South Tripura have been reshuffled. Officers like Abhijit Dey, Akshay Balu Bhorde, and Sangita Aba Khatal have received new district postings.

Notably, several TFS officers attached to field offices have also been assigned new posts as Sub-Divisional Forest Officers (SDFOs) and Assistant Conservators of Forests (ACFs).

The reshuffle aims to enhance efficiency and streamline functioning within the Forest Department. The order was issued by S. K. Debbarma, Deputy Secretary to the Government of Tripura.
