Mamata to visit poll-bound Tripura on Feb 6

Agartala Jan 24: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee is scheduled to visit Tripura for two-days in the month of February to take part in party’s poll campaigns.

Addressing the press on Tuesday State TMC president Pijush Kanti Biswas said, “Mamata Banerjee will visit Tripura on February 6 evening and on the next day, February 7, she will be attending a mega rally of Trinamool Congress that will cover major routes of the capital city”.

“The leaders activists and supporters will gather in front of the Rabindra Satavarshiki Bhaban on February 7 and Mamata Banerjee will address the people from the program”, he added.

Besides, prior Mamata’s visit, party’s national General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee and a host of TMC Bengal leaders would address election rallies across the state.

Talking about announcement of candidate list for the ensuing polls, Biswas said, “129 applications from all over Tripura have submitted before the leadership willing to be the party candidates in the February 16 elections. Alliance with any other party not yet finalised”.

Tripura TMC In-charge Rajib Banerjee, TMC MP Susmita Dev among others remained present at the press conference.
