Man dies without treatment at GB Hospital

Agartala Dec 31: Bimal Laskar, 85 years old, a resident Melaghar area admitted at GB Hospital for treatment died on Saturday morning.Bereaved family members raised severe allegations of negligence in duty against the hospital authorities that led to the death of the man.

“Since long hours we were roaming here and there searching for doctor and nurse as my fathers’ condition deteriorated. But no one was available to treat my father”, alleged the daughter of the deceased.She further added, “A person had put oxygen mask but it was also not functioning. There was no nurse to see my father”.Raising serious concern, the family members of the deceased said that if such is the condition of main referral hospital, what will be the condition in outskirts and remote areas.The family demanded the state government to take immediate action in the issue.
