Manik Sarkar and Abdul Khalek campaign for Left-Congress candidates of three assembly constituencies at Belonia

Agartala, February 11, 2023: An election rally was held at Belonia’s BKI Maidan in order to win the Left Front-Congress nominated candidates with huge votes in the interest of establishing and developing peace and harmony democracy in the state.

Around noon on Saturday, two well-dressed Left-Congress processions from the north bank of Belonia Balkar River and Hrishyamukh Assembly Constituency came to the maidan. In this day’s procession, workers and supporters carried Left and Congress party flags, red caps and bands BKI ground.

This day’s election rally was held in the presence of Politburo member Manik Sarkar and Congress party MP Abdul Khalek in support of Belonia sub-divisional Left-Congress nominated candidats Sudhan Das of 34-Rajnagar, Dipankar Sen of 35-Belonia and Ashok Mitra of 37-Hrishyamukh. CPIM South District Secretary Vasudev Majumder presided over the work of the meeting.

While discussing in the meeting, CPIM politburo member opposition leader Manik Sarkar said that there are all kinds of positions to defeat the BJP. “Creating wrinkles of division, our fight against the apocalyptic policies of the Centre. This government has failed to fulfill even one of the promises it made to the people before it was formed”, he added.

Congress MP Abdul Khalek said that this Left-Congress alliance is responding to the call of the people to save Tripura and the country. He said that in the rally that this alliance will form the government next day with a two-thirds majority.

The people of all parts must come together to protect the democratic rights of Tripura, and to save and change the country.

Left Congress nominees from three centers, CPIM South District Secretary Vasudev Majumdar, Sub-Divisional Secretary Tapas Dutta, Pradesh Congress Party Vice President Bholanath Dhar, Labor Leader Vijay Tilak, Farmers Leader Babul Debnath and other leaders and workers of CPIM and Congress parties were present.
