Agartala, 14th May 2025: Sepahijala district is celebrating the remarkable achievement of Debajit Das, a student from Bishalgarh English Medium Higher Secondary School, who has secured a place among the top 10 rankers in the CBSE Madhyamik examination. With an impressive 95.6% score (478 out of 500), Debajit has set a shining example of perseverance and dedication.
Hailing from Manikyanagar Gram Panchayat, Debajit’s journey has been one of relentless hard work, despite financial constraints. His father Ujjwal Das works in a private English medium school in South Kalamchoura, while his mother Mamon Das is a homemaker. Yet, neither hardship nor limited resources deterred the family’s resolve to support his aspirations.
“I always believed that if I put in the effort, I could achieve my dream. I studied 12-14 hours a day and had tremendous support from my teachers and home tutors,” Debajit shared.
His performance was exceptional across subjects English (98), Bengali (96), Mathematics (97), Science (90), and Social Science (95) reflecting his deep commitment to academic excellence.
Debajit, who nurtured his ambitions from a young age, now dreams of becoming an engineer with a purpose beyond personal success. “I want to contribute to society, help underprivileged people, and play a role in nation-building,” he expressed.
The victory has led to jubilant celebrations in his neighborhood. Relatives, friends, and teachers gathered to congratulate him, cutting a cake to mark the moment. However, the road ahead remains challenging, given his family’s financial situation.
Locals and well-wishers have urged authorities to ensure that Debajit receives the necessary scholarships or financial aid to pursue his higher studies. “His talent should not be hindered due to financial hardships. If he gets the right support, he will make the country proud,” said a family friend.
