Man’s dead body recovered at Baikhora; Investigation underway

Agartala, October 11, 2023: In a heart-wrenching incident early this morning, the lifeless body of Prematosh Biswas was recovered, sending shockwaves through the close-knit community of Baikhora. Following this grim discovery, the dedicated personnel of Baikhora police station swiftly responded to the scene, commencing an immediate investigation into the unfortunate event.

The somber occurrence took place at Biswas’ residence in Anantaviswas Para, East Charakbai of Baikhora, under the jurisdiction of Santirbazar sub-division, on Wednesday. Tragically, the morning unveiled the lifeless figure of Biswas hanging from the balcony of his home. Distressed witnesses promptly reported this distressing sight to the Baikhora police station, eliciting a prompt and compassionate response from law enforcement.

Baikhora’s police officers carefully retrieved the deceased’s body and subsequently conveyed it to the Baikhora Primary Health Center, where a thorough post-mortem examination is set to provide insights into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Biswas’ untimely demise.

According to the initial assessment by the authorities, Biswas took his own life at approximately 4 am, possibly due to the burden of mental depression.
