Agartala, 10th August 2026: A state-of-the-art pharmacy college is currently being built in the Chandrapur area of the Matabari Assembly constituency, fulfilling a long-standing demand of local residents for higher education facilities.
Local MLA Abhishek Debroy recently inspected the construction site, accompanied by college officials. He emphasized that the new institution, named Milestone Pharmacy College, will offer courses such as Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm), ensuring that students from the Matabari region will no longer need to travel outside for advanced studies.
The facility is being constructed over 118,900 square feet, with an investment of approximately ₹60–70 crore. Built to international standards, the college is expected to be inaugurated soon by the State Chief Minister.
MLA Debroy expressed confidence that the Milestone Pharmacy College would rank among the top five pharmacy institutions in India, benefiting students while also creating employment opportunities in the region.
