Mayor attends rally at Bani Vidyapith Girls’ HS School to mark 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Agartala, 28th October 2025 :  To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the NSS Unit of Bani Vidyapith Girls’ Higher Secondary School organized a rally today in Agartala under the guidance of the Tripura State NSS Cell, promoting the values of national unity and integrity espoused by the Iron Man of India.

The rally commenced from the school premises and passed through key locations in the city, with vibrant participation from students, teachers and NSS volunteers. Ramnagar MLA and AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder joined the procession and lauded the initiative, noting its importance in inspiring youth towards patriotism.

Speaking to the media personnel, Mayor Majumder said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government, Sardar Patel’s contributions to national integration have been accorded due recognition. He emphasised that such programmes play a vital role in instilling the spirit of unity among the younger generation.

He further informed that multiple events are being organised across the state to mark the occasion with active public participation.

The school’s Principal, Vice Principal, NSS Programme Officer, and teaching staff took part in the rally, reflecting strong institutional support and enthusiasm for the commemorative event.
